DocuLex Announces Goby Capture V5.1

DocuLex, creator of the document management software Archive Studio, announces the release of the newest Archive Studio component, Goby Capture V5.1. The DocuLex Goby Capture program was designed to enhance the use of MFPs and network scanners, and allow for ease in the conversion of a paper document into electronic format, which can then be forwarded to a PC.

With the original program, cover pages could be indexed prior to scanning. However, the latest version of the program is designed to save time, money and paper in processing paper and electronic documents. With the help of a new text recognition technology, Goby Capture V5.1 is designed to detect a document within a scanned stack of paper without the need for a document break cover page. The Archive Studio component now offers ODBC connection to line-of-business applications, allowing users to access meta data from an organization's database, XML recognition for MFP and network scanner devices, and now incorporates the use of workflow status codes, auto notification, and an ability to route documents to users.
