With the original program, cover pages could be indexed prior to scanning. However, the latest version of the program is designed to save time, money and paper in processing paper and electronic documents. With the help of a new text recognition technology, Goby Capture V5.1 is designed to detect a document within a scanned stack of paper without the need for a document break cover page. The Archive Studio component now offers ODBC connection to line-of-business applications, allowing users to access meta data from an organization's database, XML recognition for MFP and network scanner devices, and now incorporates the use of workflow status codes, auto notification, and an ability to route documents to users.
