DST Launches EFS for Insurers

DST Systems Inc. has launched an Electronic File Solution (EFS) for the insurance industry.

A Software-as-a-Service content management system, EFS is designed to enable flexible, secure access to critical business records across an enterprise, including pre-sales documents and policies, and helps carriers comply with increasingly complex industry regulations. Carriers also can use EFS to consolidate records from multiple systems, provide access to associates from anywhere at anytime, reduce infrastructure costs and support corporate retention policies.

Additionally, EFS can be used to securely manage the storage, retrieval and disposition of company records, and supports records retention policies and litigation holds, says DST. Carriers also can use the solution to manage the retention of documents for business and regulatory purposes. By providing information system functionality to field agents, EFS provides carriers visibility and control of agent data, DST notes.

EFS also helps companies implement content management best practices and simplify access, while reducing the time and money spent to manage and store their organization's records, DST adds.
