Electric Insurance Co., a company offering personal and commercial lines insurance products, has chosen AgencyPortal point-of-sale and service platform. AgencyPortal is a product of Agencyport Software, a company offering web-based distribution software and services to the P&C insurance industry.
The platform includes the Connect5 self-service center application. Electric Insurance wanted a web application that would make servicing existing policyholders faster and easier. The offering will include full billing, claims, endorsement and renewal functionality for the carrier’s personal lines. It will be accessible by Electric Insurance’s agents, policyholders and internal customer service staff.
Do-it-yourself online is here to stay, said Agencyport Software. P&C carriers are recognizing the need to give their customers the same kind of 24/7 access to their insurance policy information as they have to their bank and other accounts.
