Chicago-based Encompass Insurance is piloting a commission download system that will automatically post billing and commission information in an agency's management system. Encompass' technology team began working with agency management software providers in September 2002 to develop the direct bill commission download, building the system around recommendations from Encompass' NorthStar agency advisory council. Expanded rollout of Encompass' direct bill commission download is scheduled to begin in early May for independent agencies using Applied Systems' TAM, AMS's Sagitta and AMS's AfW management systems.
