Farmers Insurance Appoints Howard to VP, Claims Compliance

Los Angeles — Farmers Insurance Group Inc. announced Rob Howard, AVP, national auto physical damage operations, has been promoted to VP, claims compliance, effective January 1, 2009.

“We are very pleased to have Rob take the post as claims compliance vice president,” announced SVP of farmers legislative, regulatory, compliance, risk management and media relations, Ron Coble.  “Rob has an outstanding history understanding Farmers claims operations and we welcome him to his new post.”

“Rob brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the job,” Coble continues. “Since May 2006, he has restructured and streamlined the auto physical damage operations department. The department today is more efficient, and offers excellent service. Also, since joining the claims department at Farmers in 1987, Rob has held a number of positions including california regional claims manager, auto physical damage zone manager and home office claims administration manager/project manager. We know he will do an outstanding job in his new position.”

Howard received a BA degree in mathematics from William Jewell College, and has earned certificates as a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter, Associate in Management and Associate in Insurance Services.
