GEICO Names New Claims SVP

GEICO announced today that Seth Ingall has been named SVP, with responsibility for claims home office, staff counsel, communications and the GEICO Philanthropic Foundation.

He will also continue to serve on the board of directors of GEICO’s insurance companies. Ingall is succeeding Don Lyons, who retired from the company after 44 years of dedicated service.

“We’re thrilled to have a skilled and experienced officer like Seth Ingall ready to step into the position,” said Tony Nicely, GEICO’s chairman and CEO. “I am confident that we won’t miss a beat during this transition, and I know that Seth will continue to lead GEICO to greater heights moving forward.”

Ingall most recently served as regional VP since 2007, first leading GEICO’s regional office in Woodbury, N.Y. and helping the company remain the leading insurer in the state, according to GEICO, before moving to the insurers regional office in Buffalo, N.Y. in 2012.

Ingall originally joined GEICO in 1986 as a certified insurance counselor interviewer until earning his law degree and joining the office of staff counsel. He went on to become managing attorney in the Silver Spring, Md., staff counsel office, then administrative senior claims attorney in claims home office, and subsequently served as AVP for claims in GEICO’s Fredericksburg, Va., office. He was named VP of GEICO claims operations in 2005.
