Regional property and casualty insurance carrier Hastings Mutual Insurance Company will implement policy administration and billing software from Guidewire Software Inc. The initiative comes as part of a broader effort to improve operations.
Hastings Mutual, which has been serving the Midwest since 1885, has been using Guidewire’s ClaimCenter software for about 12 years and was the first insurer to deploy that software, according to Guidewire. The insurer says it selected Guidewire’s PolicyCenter and BillingCenter as a key element of a transformation initiative that will support the long-term strategies of the company.
“Guidewire has demonstrated key capabilities including state-of-the-art products, process governance, and exceptional teamwork around business process modernization,” noted Bill Gregor, VP of Insurance Operations at Hastings Mutual. “They have been a true partner to Hastings Mutual for over ten years so we know that we can rely on them going forward.”
Hastings Mutual VP and CIO Tim Brenner added that Guidewire has demonstrated its desire for long-term partnership “through their reinvestment into the technology base and through user-guided product enhancements.”
