HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc. has successfully implemented Oceanwide Bridge for commercial package product for sports and recreation facilities. The specialty insurer is using Bridge for portal rating and quoting, with real-time integration to downstream systems for premium booking and billing, Oceanwide said.

"Bridge will complement our core systems by providing select system modules, such as agent and consumer portals, underwriter workstations, and rating where we need flexibility. Bridge provides a common user interface and promotes consistent underwriting processes across our diverse products. Bridge also offers our non-technical staff the ability to make system changes through configuration screens without programming or scripting, which eliminates dependence on a vendor for those changes."
HCC expects to realize many benefits with Bridge, including better underwriting and rating functionality across products, a common interface with HCC’s policy administration system and the ability to extend policy processing and communication capabilities through a new portal, Oceanwide said.
