Hiscox, a global specialist insurer headquartered in Bermuda, has announced the launch of its new digital insurance platform for customers in the United Kingdom. The new platform is designed to support the transformation of its digital acquisition channels and meet growing demand for digital customer engagement. The new UK digital insurance platform is based on Backbase’s CXP, a customer experience platform that’s aimed at helping enterprises create omni-channel, customer centric digital experiences.
Hiscox’s internal business and IT teams implemented the digital platform, supported by Backbase Expert Services, according to Backbase. The CXP is designed to enable enterprises to manage personal, relevant experiences and deliver them to customers on any device, in any context, from a single platform, Backbase says.
"The implementation of Backbase CXP in combination with our new policy administration systems will enable us to quickly react to changes in the market and increase our competitive advantage by providing our customers with a distinct digital experience," HIscox CIO Stephane Flaquet said in a prepared statement.
"I am delighted that Hiscox chose Backbase and am proud that we were able to successfully support Hiscox's vision for digital customer experience" Jouk Pleiter, CEO and co-founder of Backbase, added in the statment. "Hiscox clearly understands the importance of creating a seamless, unified experience that streamlines their entire customer journey. I'm very pleased we were able to meet their expectations and play our part in their wider transformation program."
Hiscox joins Backbase's global roster of clients, which includes ABN AMRO, Barclays, Legal & General, and Deutsche Bank among others.
