Humana Inc. employees with flexible spending accounts (FSAs) or health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs) will have a combined health plan identification and payment card to access account funds. Louisville, Ky.-based Humana plans to make the HumanaAccess MasterCard card available to commercial members with HRA-style plans next year. The HumanaAccess MasterCard, which is issued by Sioux Falls, S.D.-based BANKFIRST and powered by Benny Card from Evolution Benefits Inc., Avon, Conn., enables members to access funds in a FSA or HRA by swiping their card at the provider's office or pharmacy. Funds are deducted directly from the member's account, therefore eliminating the need for members to pay cash at point-of- service and to complete forms and wait for a reimbursement check.
