InVEST and NAAIA Announce Collaboration

The National African-American Insurance Association (NAAIA) recently announced a collaboration with InVEST, a classroom-to-career education program for the insurance industry.

“NAAIA’s commitment to our youth mirrors InVEST’s goals of bringing young people into the insurance industry,” says Don Davis, NAAIA board chairman and Allied Insurance territory sales manager. “By promoting InVEST to our chapters, we hope to encourage NAAIA members to become involved as volunteers in the classroom and gather support for our common mission to attract new talent to the insurance industry.”

InVEST promotes insurance education to encourage individuals to pursue careers in the insurance industry. Each year, the program engages in preparing students for insurance-related careers with a hands-on curriculum taught in high schools, adult education centers and community colleges.

The education program is also closely aligned with the Diversity Task Force sector of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA). The task force’s goal is to help create an independent agency population that mirrors the nation’s diversity and enables both agencies and companies to achieve optimal growth and market penetration.
