John Hancock Now Offers eSignature Capability

John Hancock Insurance has added electronic signature capabilities to its life insurance online services. This change eliminates the need for customers to print, sign and mail the most common life insurance customer service forms.

John Hancock said that, with an electronic signature, a life insurance customer’s request goes immediately to the company's hands and is ready to be processed. The electronic forms are "smart," guiding the client to complete the form properly. The company said 97 percent of forms submitted and signed electronically are accurate, which speeds up the response process.

John Hancock added that it offers tools that cover the sales process, from submitting the application to managing in-force policies. Producers may complete and submit "in good order" applications for life insurance products online through the company’s producer website, JHSalesNet.com, or the website of the producer's firm. Producers also may automatically receive an electronic copy of a life policy package, within 24 hours after policy issue, and access copies of clients' key in-force life policy documents online.
