Manulife Names Chief Innovation Officer

Manulife has named Tim Ramza chief innovation officer, a newly created role.

Ramza enters the position from his current role as SVP, wealth management strategy and business development. He is credited with strengthening Manulife's ties with startup technology companies through acquisition and invenstment. Before that, he worked at Fidelity Investments, where he held technology-related positions.

"Manulife is operating in a rapidly evolving environment characterized by heightened consumer expectations and technology-driven innovation," said Donald A. Guloien, Manulife president and CEO. "As Chief Innovation Officer, Tim will provide thought leadership on disruptive trends and guide our corporate innovation efforts in support of our vision of helping customers with their biggest financial decisions."
