Springfield, Mass. — Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. (MassMutual) announced it has appointed Kimberly Grose as AVP in the company’s U.S. Insurance Group Underwriting division.

Grose will be responsible for leading and managing the south central region of MassMutual’s life insurance underwriting operations, including life underwriting policies and procedures, and individual risk assessment and selection. She will report to Shelby Hollister, VP and chief life underwriter in the U.S. Insurance Group.

“Life insurance underwriting is an important part of MassMutual’s insurance operations, and we are very excited to have someone of Kim’s caliber join our team,” Hollister says. “Kim brings with her a depth of experience and technical skills that will help ensure MassMutual’s life underwriting services are among the finest in our industry.”

Grose has more than 15 years in the life underwriting business. She joins MassMutual from Nationwide Financial, where she held numerous life underwriting management positions, including managing the private sector pension operations and life underwriting departments.
