MiddleOak, a provider of commercial specialty insurance, has selected Guidewire Software, Inc.’s BillingCenter as its billing operations platform, the company announced today.
The move follows MiddleOak’s deployment of Guidewire PolicyCenter in 2013. MiddleOak will soon offer self-service capabilities to customers such as online payment and billing status. Additionally, the insurer will also be able to reduce maintenance efforts and costs while improving agent commission processing, the companies said.
“The common architecture and positive experience with the innovation and quality of PolicyCenter were important factors in our selection of BillingCenter,” said Sean Sweeney, SVP of information technology at MiddleOak, in a statement. “We look forward to implementing a contemporary billing system offering self-service capabilities that will enhance the billing experience for our agents and policyholders.”
MiddleOak will deploy BillingCenter for its commercial (habitational) lines of business. Full implementation is expected in the second half of 2017.
