Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company has successfully implemented Guidewire PolicyCenter as its new underwriting and policy administration solution. Technology and management consulting company EY led the implementation and worked closely with Nationwide and Guidewire.
Nationwide consolidated several policy administration systems into the Guidewire platform to help the insurer increase its customer service capabilities, enable better underwriting risk analysis and provide the flexibility needed to grow with its business. The company now is in pilot production with its personal umbrella line of business in one state, supporting two out of three sales channels. The company also is in production with Guidewire ClaimCenter.

Nationwide said that PolicyCenter is enabling the insurer to leverage automated underwriting rules and real-time functionality; streamline staff training and bring new products and product enhancements to market more quickly.
