New York Life names chief data officer for retail life

New York Life has hired Richard White as chief data officer for its Retail Life business.

A newly created role, White is responsible for developing and overseeing data strategy and governance for the segment, reporting to Alex Cook, Chief Data and Analytics Officer and Head of Retail Life.

White last was VP of data and analytics for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he was responsible for defining and developing enterprise data management capabilities. Before that, he was director of enterprise data governance for the global Chief Data Office of Citigroup, and also has held leadership roles in data management at AXA Equitable and American International Group.
