LARGE ENTERPRISES NOT CONFIDENT IN DATA NETWORKS

A study of senior IT professionals at 150 North American and European large enterprises-including insurance companies-by Ovum, Boston, revealed that fewer than 50% rate their tools "good" in maintaining high performance of applications on their corporate networks.

The research, commissioned by Ipanema Technology, a Waltham, Mass.-based developer of network application traffic management solutions, showed the highest satisfaction of network performance tools is with business software applications (45%), followed by voice applications (39%) and video conferencing (31%).
