Teradata, a division of Dayton, Ohio-based NCR Corp., has developed Teradata Behavior Explorer, an insurance-specific business intelligence application for property/casualty claims. Running on the Teradata database engine, Teradata Behavior Explorer helps insurers manage customer interactions and assess the efficiency of claims management. One module, Product View, analyzes product holdings by customer, product and distribution segment, and provides an overview of claims by internal profit center and underwriting company. The other module, Transaction View, analyzes the effectiveness of claims branch offices, individual adjusters, service centers and service providers.Toronto-based InSystems is rolling out InSystems Calligo E-Delivery, a scalable document fulfillment solution that produces documents in customer-preferred formats and delivers them through multiple channels. Relying on InSystems Calligo document assembly technology to create documents, existing InSystems Calligo users can leverage existing libraries of InSystems Calligo model documents. The solution also has the ability to save and retrieve files to and from InSystems Calligo Enterprise, providing users the ability to access and view documents in a secure Internet-based environment.

Intermeg Corp., a New York-based technology firm, is offering a browser-based system for insurers called IntelliCarrier. The system enables insurance carriers to offer agents and brokers the ability to use the Web to get real-time quotes, bind and issue policies, provide endorsements, process renewals and record first notices of loss. IntelliCarrier supports personal and commercial lines for all states based on standard rating guidelines and ACORD form fields. Company-specific rates, data elements, underwriting rules and edits can be customized with IntelliCarrier Company Admin Tools.

El Segundo, Calif.-based consulting firm Computer Sciences Corp. has released an XML version of its S3+ enterprise system. The new version simplifies Web-based access to enterprise data and transactions. Using CSC's common service-oriented architecture, which is being adopted across the company's property/casualty, life insurance and banking software portfolio, S3+ incorporates XML interfaces based on standards developed by Pearl River, N.Y.-based ACORD.

DWL Inc. released a new version of DWL Insurance for Group Life and Health, which offers self-service capabilities. With the new version, employer administrators, plan members, agents and brokers, customer service representatives and third-party administrators can complete self-service transactions directly with multiple back-office and customer relationship management systems through a single application. Using pre-built, industry standard J2EE (EJB) and Web services-enabled XML components, the new version adds a unified business services layer to add functionality across the enterprise.

Bisys, a New York-based business process outsourcing firm, released License Renewal CE Tracking, its latest Internet-based program designed to track state-specific licensing renewal and continuing education (CE) requirements for insurance producers. The program enables producers to establish online accounts and enter the information about their current insurance licenses. The system automatically calculates each continuing education due date and documents the requirements in easy-to-understand terms.

A new Web site, EducatorsMoney, was launched to provide online retirement services for educational institutions that offer 403(b) and 457 plans, similar to sites available for 401(k) plans. At www.educatorsmoney.com, employees can access mutual fund options, account management tools, investment information and live help and support. The Web site enables education administrators to streamline reporting and data management. The Web site is a service of BenefitsCorp, a subsidiary of Great-West Family of Companies, Greenwood Village, Colo.
