Ohio Casualty Introduces Commercial Lines Series

Fairfield, Ohio — Ohio Casualty, a Liberty Mutual Agency Markets regional company that offers P&C personal lines and commercial insurance products, launched a commercial lines product called CUSTOM PROTECTOR.

Available to small- to mid-sized businesses with receipts up to $15 million per location, the product offers optional market segment endorsements for the following 12 industries: condominiums, contractors, food processors, garages/auto service, hotels/motels, manufacturers, office/lessor’s risk, religious organizations, restaurants, retailers, service providers and wholesalers. Split-rated property and liability coverages allow for price adjustments to match a customer’s specific exposure.

This new offering is the centerpiece of The Commercial Protector Series, Ohio Casualty’s solution for small- to mid-sized commercial business that can provide coverage for more than 1,100 classes of business. The Commercial Protector Series consists of three products: COMMERCIAL PROTECTOR (BOP), CUSTOM PROTECTOR and the Comprehensive Business Policy.

“The Commercial Protector Series gives our agents a far wider range of classes and more competitive pricing,” says Jeff Cruey, VP, commercial lines underwriting, Ohio Casualty, Fairfield, Ohio. “Agents now have a broader, more flexible product set to accommodate all account sizes in our commercial lines appetite. They also have a tool that delivers greater efficiency and cuts the online submission process by about one-third.”

Supplementing these new products is an enhancement to Commercial IQ, the company’s online quoting and policy application system, designed to simplify product selection by directing agents’ new business to the Ohio Casualty product that best suits a customer’s needs. SmartNav, the new pre-qualification tool within Commercial IQ, suggests the most appropriate product for a commercial risk after an agent selects a business class code and responds to a few basic eligibility questions.
