Pacific Specialty Rolls Out Cloud-Based Claims

Pacific Specialty Insurance Company has completed the first phase of its transition to Accenture Duck Creek On-Demand, a software as a service (SaaS) version of Accenture Duck Creek claims technology.

The modern claims software is delivered via the Accenture Cloud Platform using Microsoft Azure, to Pacific Specialty's powersports line. This first phase of the deployment was completed in less than seven months, according to the companies, and Pacific Specialty’s remaining property and liability business lines are scheduled to transfer to Duck Creek On-Demand during the first quarter of 2016. It's part of a larger complete system transformation that will move all legacy-based insurance core systems to Accenture Duck Creek On-Demand through a planned rollout.

“To better support our strategic growth initiatives, we chose to transition to a SaaS delivery of the Accenture Duck Creek Suite to leverage its modern technology quickly with minimal disruption to the business,” said Jim P. Lee, chief information officer, Pacific Specialty Insurance Company. “As we continue our system transformation, it’s evident that by utilizing Duck Creek On-Demand, we’ll be able to optimize performance and productivity within the claims operations and throughout our company as well as deliver the enhanced service our customers need and expect now and in the future.
