PCI Elects New Officers to the Board

Scottsdale, Ariz. — The Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI) elected new officers during its annual meeting in Scottsdale. John Blackburn, CEO, COUNTRY
Financial, was elected as the association's new chair; Janice Abraham, president and CEO of United Educators Insurance was elected first chair; and RobertDiMuccio, president and CEO, Amica Mutual Group, was elected second vice chair.

Blackburn has served as CEO for COUNTRY Insurance & Financial Services since August 2001. He also is chairman of the board of directors of four companies with which COUNTRY has strategic alliances, including: Cotton States Insurance, Atlanta; Holyoke Mutual Insurance Co., Salem, Mass.; Middlesex Mutual Assurance Co. and MSI Preferred Insurance Co., Middletown, Conn. Blackburn began his career with COUNTRY in 1982 as an agent in Christian County, Ill.

PCI First Vice Chair Janice Abraham joined United Educators Insurance as president and CEO in January 1998. She also is president and CEO of United Educators Management Co. Abraham has more than 14 years of experience serving the higher education community through her work as CFO/treasurer at Whitman College, various senior positions at Cornell University, and the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) where she served as staff associate.

PCI Second Vice Chair Robert DiMuccio became president and CEO of Amica Mutual Insurance Co. in 2005. Prior to this, he worked for accounting firm KPMG Peat Marwick, where he earned the position of partner. He joined Amica in 1991 as a VP in the accounting department. In 1994, he was promoted to SVP, and in 1996 he was awarded the additional title of treasurer. In 2001, DiMuccio attained another title, CFO, and was named EVP in 2003. He has earned the insurance industry's Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) educational designation, and is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants.
