PFRACP Implements OneShield to Replace Claims System

Pennsylvania Financial Responsibility Assigned Claims Plan (PFRACP) has announced the implementation of OneShield Software’s cloud-based claims administration system.

Full installation of the new software will take eight months, the companies said. But the two have already successfully converted 70,000 claim files from roughly two decades of activity in the early stages.

"Our goal was to implement a system with limited interruption to current daily productivity and enable us to handle a larger case load without the need to add staff," said Rob Carver, PFRACP's Claims Manager, in a statement. "The OneShield team understood our unique claims requirements and significantly streamlined our processing."

OneShield’s system is expected to reduce costs and allow for easy sharing of electronic files and documents with third parties via a web portal. The new software is set to replace PFRACP ‘s 15-year-old legacy system’s manual processes.
