Racicot to Leave AIA

Washington —Marc Racicot is leaving the American Insurance Association (AIA) after three years as president and CEO of the property/casualty trade association.

"Governor Racicot has worked diligently and effectively representing the property/casualty insurance industry over the last three and a half years, continuing AIA's role in advocating for a strong and healthy property/casualty industry,” says Evan Greenberg, chairman of the AIA and chairman and CEO of ACE Limited.

Leigh Ann Pusey, currently the organization’s COO and SVP for government affairs, will succeed Racicot effective Feb. 1, 2009.

"For more than a decade, Leigh Ann has been instrumental in guiding the strategic direction of AIA’s advocacy efforts in our nation’s capital and around the country,” says Greenberg. “The transition to her new role as president and chief executive leaves the association well-positioned to continue its mission as the leading public policy advocate for the property/casualty insurance industry.”
