Regional Insurance Co., a company offering personal, commercial and workers’ compensation products, has selected StoneRiver Inc.’s Stream Claims.
The decision was based on anticipated gains in operational efficiencies and service leadership. Regional Insurance’s business-case criteria included the need to automate and standardize workflow in the claims process.
With the selection of Stream Claims, Regional Insurance can look forward to reduced manual and paper-based processing. Stream for claims also enables business analysts to make changes in the system with a rules- and table-driven approach, so expensive technical resources are conserved. Examples of anticipated rules for handling cases include monitoring of adjuster case loads and adjustments in workflow accordingly; and updates and follow through for ordering requirements, such as police reports for case-handling optimization
Regional Insurance has grown during the last few years and moved into additional states, the insurer said. The new claims processing operation includes a modern system that can help increase claims handling speed.
