Scott Reitan Named SVP at Pan-American Life

Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG), a provider of life and health insurance in Latin America and the United States, appointed Scott Reitan to SVP of administration and information technology.

Reitan will oversee all of PALIG’s corporate administration and information technology, including the development of business solutions, strategy initiatives and tactical planning. Additionally, he will head the CIO Council and Operations Council.

Prior to joining PALIG, Reitan founded and served as partner and president of Parkfield Group, a consulting firm focused on financial management, process improvement, corporate governance, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, enterprise risk management and business continuity planning. Filling this role for the last 18 months, Reitan has been guiding PALIG through a series of strategic initiatives, including the initial transition efforts to the SOX compliance model.

"As a financial service industry veteran and CPA with more than 30 years of corporate and consulting experience, Scott's knowledge and expert insights have already been instrumental in identifying opportunities to enhance our business, information technology and corporate administration processes," said Jose Suquet, chairman of the board, president and CEO of Pan-American Life Insurance Group. "We look forward to his ongoing leadership in integrating competencies and enhancing the Group's information systems and functions."
