Shelter Mutual Insurance Co., a group of companies offering financial products and services to individuals and businesses, has selected PCMS’ Atlas-hosted platform for its independent agent distribution channel. PCMS is a provider of cloud-based IT applications for P&C insurers.
Atlas will process and host rating, underwriting, policy administration, billing, claims management and reporting needs for Shelter's American Shield Insurance subsidiary in early 2015. American Shield independent agents will have 24/7 access to quoting and policy issuance, correspondence, billing, claims and management report access.
PCMS' Atlas system will enable American Shield to offer a real-time web portal for its agents; roll out multi-state, multi-line product sets and enter new markets quickly; use real-time data analytics and management reporting for the home office and agents; and shrink operational and IT costs with a minimal footprint, while using cloud-based, scalable technology.
