Travelers Property Casualty Corp. is offering its independent agents an Internet batch download system for boat and yacht insurance policies. With this new capability, which takes place automatically overnight, agencies do not need to rekey policy information into their agency management systems. The download is the most recent enhancement to the Hartford, Conn.-based company's technology capabilities for boat and yacht insurance. Agencies can also upload completed policy applications to Travelers, which often reduces the time to process a new business application by half. In addition, agencies can print a quote letter or a completed application. These capabilities are available through Travelers' boat and yacht Web site located on the company's agency portal, called Agent HQ. Four agency management system providers have certified the download.
