PIONEER STATE INSTALLS EPM DASHBOARDAn enterprise performance management (EPM) firm, iDashboards, based in Troy, Mich., helped develop a business intelligence dashboard for Pioneer State Mutual Insurance Co., Flint, Mich.. A team involving iDashboards and Pioneer developed a dashboard that met the carrier's requirements of delivering timely and accurate key performance indicators (KPIs) such as policy and claim counts, written premium and incurred loss, and loss ratio. Pioneer executives are now able to monitor their KPIs and drill down to immediately examine trend breaks and exceptions.


Based in New York with a senior research team located in New Delhi, India, 3iAnalysis is offering equity and credit research services on more than 1,000 publicly-held companies. The firm works with clients to create customized research products that synthesize both qualitative and quantitative information. These reports analyze a firm's capital structure, financial statements, and relative valuations, and are based on ratio analysis, credit evaluation, earnings projection models, sector analysis, and earnings quality measurements. The outsourced research firm employs a staff of analysts, all of whom hold a masters of business administration (MBA) and a CFA or CPA equivalent from leading Indian business schools. The analysts are trained in U.S. GAAP, IAS and IFRS accounting principles


To help companies meet the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulations, Pegasystems Inc., Cambridge, Mass., has released its Control and Compliance Solution Framework. Built on SmartBPM technologies, this new framework is designed to help companies more easily comply with SOX by automating the process of creating, managing, testing and auditing business controls. The framework, which incorporates the COSO, COBIT and ICFR regulatory standards, provides generation of self-tests and remediation plans for exception management; event escalation and notification; access request approval flows; and documentation of authorizations and control approvals.


Houston-based Scalable Software Inc. is upgrading its Command Center IT compliance management solution to include commercial audit management, compliance checking, and automated IT compliance traceability capabilities. The company also will expand its support for technical benchmarks from the Center for Internet Security (CIS), and deliver an installable version of its Command Center, which is currently provided through a software as a service model.


PostX, a Cupertino, Calif.-based provider of encrypted e-mail communications has unveiled its newest offering. Called PostX Messaging Application Platform (MAP) 6.0, the new product provides new approaches to policy management, authentication, and delivery methods, the company claims. New features of MAP 6.0 include: OpenPGP and easier conversion to PDF; new capabilities that use the PostX security and privacy lexicons; support for Unicode throughout the system and provisions for multiple language interfaces; compatibility with leading databases, application servers, and authentication directories; and flexible configuration and licensing options.
