MANAGEMENT AT THE FILE SYSTEM LEVELCosta Mesa, Calif.-based FileNet Corp. USA's Records Manager Suite now includes an intelligent, rules-based capture and management solution for unmanaged records at the file system level. FileNet Records Crawler controls and audits the records declaration process, automating the decision of how to manage the record based on corporate standards and procedures-not on individual preferences or interpretations of policies. FileNet Records Manager then controls the balance of the record's lifecycle, including retention, access control, privacy and the disposition process including destruction.

POLICY MANAGEMENT COMBINES WITH RATING SYSTEM

India-based 3i Infotech Ltd., integrated its PREMIA policy-management solution with the Jersey City, N.J.-based ISO Properties Inc.'s Rating Service, a policy rating system and rate-management solution for property and casualty insurers. The combined solution adds ISO's automated, pre-validated advisory content, insurance program customization and advanced rate-maintenance capabilities to PREMIA's existing insurance management solutions. PREMIA supports quoting, policy administration, billing, claims, reinsurance and accounting on a single platform.

PEGASYSTEMS UPGRADES SMART BPM SUITE

Pegasystems Inc., a Cambridge, Mass., provider of process and rules technology, is upgrading its SmartBPM Suite, software designed to optimize the management of constantly changing business processes. The software's enhanced capabilities includes AJAX "hover and see" automation for end users and "develop once, deploy everywhere" language localization. The upgrade also features enhanced ergonomics for developers.

CYBERSETTLE SHIFTS TO MICROSOFT APT.NET

Cybersettle Inc., a White Plains, N.Y., online dispute resolution company, launched Cybersettle 5.0, shifting platforms from Classic ASP to Microsoft's ASP.NET. The product is Web-service enabled and contains defined application, transaction and data layers, giving users the ability to get real-time updates on claims cases, support and settle related claims together and share documents online.

EMC LAUNCHES TWO NEW ARCHIVE PRODUCTS

Information storage management provider EMC Corp., Hopkinton, Mass., launched two new products: Documentum Archive Services for Email and for Reports. The new products leverage EMC's content management technology and use a unified archiving platform. EMC's platform is designed to enable customers to employ a common set of services for collecting, retaining, migrating, securing and discovering all types of information, making it possible to search and retrieve information for compliance and legal discovery.
