Phyllis Steffen has been named VP of the Direct Claims division at
Steffen’s promotion follows a 34-year career at Grinnell Mutual, where she has most recently served as AVP of Iowa/Wisconsin claims. Her experience includes serving as a Fast Track adjuster, telephone adjuster, subrogation/arbitration supervisor, supervisor for the Iowa/Wisconsin and Southeast claims regions, and director for the Southeast claims region.
Steffen holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation from the American Institute for Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters, the Certified Professional Insurance Woman (CPIW) designation from the National Association of Insurance Women, and the Associate in Claims (AIC) designation and Supervisory Management (SM) certificate from the Insurance Institute of America.
Steffen replaces Mac McDonald, who retired as SVP after a 27-year career at Grinnell Mutual.
