StoneRiver, a provider of technology and strategic solutions for the insurance industry, reports that its Claims Workstation received a positive rating in research analyst Gartner’s report entitled “MarketScope for North American Property and Casualty Insurance Claims Administration Systems.”

Gartner evaluated StoneRiver’s market understanding, product strategy, product, overall viability, customer experience, sales execution/pricing and sales strategy. The Gartner report states that "P&C insurers are replacing their legacy claims administration systems with common, off-the-shelf applications, and this trend will continue for the near future as vendor solutions have become the better alternative to building this core platform."

Claims Workstation is a configurable core claims system that manages all property/casualty lines of business. From first notice of loss through assignment, reserves, payment and settlement, Claims Workstation integrates work management and business rules technology. Claims Workstation automates claims management, leaving claims staff and management with time for in-depth claim investigation and negotiations. Claims Workstation features a J2EE open architecture and platform flexibility. Its configurable design enables insurers to deploy a claims settlement tool over the Web that is tailored to their unique business needs, says the company.
