With premium volumes flat and growth only coming at the expense of others, use of technology is becoming a more important to insurers, a new study New York-based PricewaterhouseCoopers finds.

The report, “The Insurance Industry in 2011,” says in the future, gains in market will only come from insurers identifying and creatively appealing to the unique needs of potential customers.
