Reduced travel costs. Perhaps the largest, most quantifiable expense reduction derived from e-learning tools. Often, avoiding one large face-to-face sales meeting pays for the cost of the online solution.Lower printing and postage expenses. Distributing full-color printed materials or a CD-ROM can easily cost several thousand dollars plus postage per participant. Presenting the same material online makes them available as an archive.

Improved sales results. In many cases, better training improved sales, or at least margins, by getting the field to push the right products.

Faster turnaround of training materials. Training materials can be created and distributed more rapidly since there is no printing or mailing time.

Faster time to market for new products. E-learning enables a carrier to train the field force on a new product rapidly, which can shorten the time it takes to get that product on the market.

Better tracking and compliance. With online tools, tracking and documenting training is easy and immediate.
