The new real-time rating and quoting capability uses Web Edits, Applied Systems' newest technology, with Web browser screens that prompt the agent for Hartford-specific information. Web Edits works in conjunction with IVANS Transformation Station, a data exchange for real-time transactions, to send data to The Hartford in real-time based on ACORD XML standards.The Hartford also has introduced a suite of transactions for independent agents who use XDimensional Technologies' Nexsure agency management system. For commercial insurance, The Hartford is offerings agents real-time quote and issue capabilities for workers' compensation. It can also accept auto, workers' compensation and property schedules for mid-sized businesses. The insurer also is certified for personal lines download with Nexsure, based in Brea, Calif., and will be offering personal lines real-time rating service to Hartford agents using Nexsure 1.0, XDTI's newest agency management system.
