The TriZetto Group Inc., a provider of health care IT software, and Connecture Inc., a provider of web-based health insurance technology, are partnering to provide health care payer organizations with comprehensive integration that automates and accelerates the sale, administration and renewal of individual and small-group insurance policies. TriZetto and Connecture will introduce the integrated solution during the first half of 2012.

“The growing trend toward consumerism is prompting healthcare payer organizations to fundamentally rethink their strategies and tactics,” says Jeff Hensley, senior VP of product management at TriZetto. “Health plans will focus on the service experience, leverage consumer analytics as they refine product strategy, and engage consumers and employer groups in managing the cost and quality of care. TriZetto and Connecture’s combined solution will give a competitive advantage to payers seeking to win individual and small-group customers through the multiple retail channels where they will be sold.”

TriZetto and Connecture are providing the supported integration of TriZetto’s Facets and QNXTTM systems with Connecture’s InsureAdvantage. TriZetto adds that the Facets and QNXT systems automate the core administrative functions of healthcare payer organizations. Connecture’s InsureAdvantage platform automates health insurance shopping, enrollment and underwriting, as well as policy administration and renewal processing, says TriZetto.
