Homesite Insurance has extended its partnership with MassPrinting, Inc., a document management service provider, thru 2020, the companies announced today. In addition, Merchants Insurance Group has entered into a contract to work with the vendor.

MassPrinting has handled all transactional printing for Homesite since 2001. The vendor also assisted Homesite in transitioning to its current digital policy communications approach. The initiative has allowed the insurer to improve customer interaction and operational efficiencies, according to the company.

“MassPrinting’s technology solutions and insurance knowledge have helped us expand business lines and partnerships over the past 15 years,” said Christopher Conti, executive vice president of Homesite Insurance, in a statement. “They allow us to focus on insurance, while they focus on backend fulfillment.”

Services provided by MassPrinting to both insurers include: print and mail services, a bar code management and coordination system, check printing, analytics and a disaster recovery plan for policy print.

“We view MassPrinting as a partner rather than a vendor or service provider,” said Tom Tempeny, Director of IT Business Services at Merchants Insurance Group. “Their insurance expertise, combined with their products and solutions, allow us to be more efficient and productive as a company. They handle our document output solutions so we can focus on projects that are more strategic to our core business of writing insurance.”
