Unigarant Replaces Software Systems

Unigarant, a Dutch insurer specializing in P&C insurance products, has renewed its front and back office systems as well as renewed and improved its extranet, according to Quinity, a Dutch provider of insurance solutions for the Dutch and European markets. Changes include the real-time processing of entries by business partners, and the fact that internal employees as well as business partners and consumers are working in the same system, with all documentation directly available to the end consumer, Quinity say

“Replacing all systems was the largest Unigarant project ever, and we have worked on it for nearly five years,” says Jan Hennekam, CEO of Unigarant. “Only two weekends were needed for conversion from the mainframe to the new system. Since the beginning of August, we have been working with the system and, apart from the usual and expected points of interest, the system is solid.”

Quinity says that Unigarant and ANWB shops (Dutch Touring Club) have transferred millions of policies and relations and tens of thousands of claims from the old to the new system, which was built by Quinity and Indivirtual. In cooperation with Indivirtual, the extranet was built, a part of which consists of the insurance application of Quinity; the other part, which provides brokers with product information, has been developed by Indivirtual, according to Quinity.
