Fidelity National Financial has named Brian Maughan EVP, Chief Innovation Officer. He had been CMO. This expanded role includes directing investments in new market and tech opportunities, the company says. "Brian's new focus will help FNF to aggressively identify and invest in new solutions, joint ventures, acquisitions, and ground-breaking initiatives that will continue our leadership and dominance in the market. Specialty insurer, RLI Corp., has hired Bret Stone as the company’s new VP, Data and Analytics. Stone joined RLI from his previous role as President and COO of SpatialKey, which was acquired by Insurity. The company also announced the promotion of Donald Johnson to VP, RLI Professional Services Group. The Professional Services Group Casualty, Captives and Specialty Package products will be led by Johnson, who joined RLI in 2010.
W.R. Berkley Corporation announced its appointment of Scott M. McDonough as President of Midwest Employers Casualty (MEC). McDonough holds over 35 years of commercial property and casualty experience and recently held a leadership role at another leading insurance company. The role was previously held by Timothy Galvin, who is now appointed chairman of MEC. Galvin, who joined as President in 2013, will continue to offer guidance and support to the MEC team in his new role.
