Accenture Launches Digital Insurance Solution Center in Chicago

Accenture has launched a Digital Insurance Solution Center in Chicago. Accenture describes the DISC as an innovation hub that showcases applications, Internet of Things devices, and enables clients to test digital insurance products through proof-of-concept pilots to validate offerings. The management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company launched the first DISC in the UK last year.

DISC offers cloud-based assets, Web services and multi-channel, telematics and data analytics capabilities, Accenture said, as well as an environment where clients can review and interact with prototyped solutions, benchmark successes and failures from past projects, and develop applications.

“DISC offers insurers a cost-efficient, low-risk way of experimenting with a wide range of technologies before deploying them to consumers, business partners or internally,” said Cindy De Armond, managing director in Accenture Property and Casualty Insurance Services and the policy services offering lead for North America.  “Accenture works with insurers in a state-of-the-art environment to help them explore emerging trends, such as robotics and drones, which is crucial as insurance companies become more digital.”
