Accenture has joined Guidewire PartnerConnect as a Consulting “Select” alliance partner for Guidewire products, focusing on implementation support.

The alliance focuses on continental Europe and Latin America, where Guidewire and Accenture share several insurance industry clients, the company says. It's not the first time the companies have worked together, but rather a formalization of an until now mostly ad-hoc relationship.

"We've had a number of customers in both regions interested in formalizing this partnership," says Scott Roza, Guidewire chief business officer. "The skills that we bring to bear in terms of the solutions and the technology, and Accenture’s knowledge around business and technology transformation, we feel complement each other well."

Roza says that insurers in these geographies are, like their North American counterparts, trying to manage an increasingly digital marketplace.

"They're trying to be more precise in how they segment their customers and price more accurately with analytics," Roza says. "Some are further ahead in what they’re doing from a transformation perspective because of legal or demographic reasons."

There are currently more than 6,000 Guidewire-trained consultants involved in the PartnerConnect program.
