ACE Tempest Re International, the international reinsurance division of the ACE Group, has appointed David Mann as senior underwriter, structured and medical malpractice reinsurance, effective Jan. 1. Mann will continue to be based in London and report to Steve Roberts.
ACE says Mann currently is senior underwriter, structured reinsurance for ACE Tempest Re International. He now will have responsibility for the performance and development of medical malpractice reinsurance accounts within ACE Tempest Re International and will continue to oversee the structured account outside the United States, underwritten out of London. He replaces Andrew Innes, who is retiring after 33 years at ACE.
Mann brings more than 15 years of underwriting experience in United States and international casualty treaty reinsurance, including medical malpractice treaty on both a traditional and structured basis, according to ACE. Prior to joining the company, he was an underwriter of worldwide structured reinsurance and U.S. casualty treaty reinsurance at Aspen Re in Bermuda. Previously, he underwrote U.S. casualty treaty and international casualty treaty at Aspen Re in the London market and at Lloyd’s.
