ACORD announced today that its board of directors elected Lloyd Chumbley and Roy Laker to serve as the organization's newest vice presidents.

"These promotions recognize all that Lloyd and Roy have brought to ACORD over the years, and show the board's confidence in their leadership for ACORD's future," says ACORD president and CEO Gregory Maciag. "As ACORD continues to grow and expand, their contributions and guidance will be vital."

In his new role, Chumbley will oversee all standards development and implementation activities at ACORD, while specializing in building strong connections between development and deployment of the standards.

Laker joined ACORD in 2005 as AVP for ACORD's London and reinsurance/large commercial markets. With the promotion, he will continue to coordinate and expand ACORD's activities in these markets while working with major-market players to promote international adoption and implementation of ACORD standards.
