Alfa Insurance, a multiline P&C and life insurer, has selected InsuranceSuite as its platform for underwriting, policy administration, claims management, billing, and client data management. InsuranceSuite is a product of Guidewire Software, a company that offers software products to P&C insurers.

InsuranceSuite helps P&C insurers by using a modular approach and enabling insurers to select individual applications: PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and ClaimCenter or a pre-integrated set, driven by their requirements and priorities. InsuranceSuite allows insurers to deliver better products and service to their policyholders and agents while improving underwriting discipline and lowering operational costs.

By consolidating its existing legacy systems, Alfa will simplify its infrastructure to reduce system maintenance costs, streamline business processes and gain flexibility. InsuranceSuite will enable Alfa to increase its speed to market with integrated systems; deliver a better service experience to agents; standardize policy administration, billing management and claims handling processes on a common platform; and improve flexibility to comply with national and state regulations.

“Beyond the IT benefits of a simpler, integrated technology platform, we’ll also gain real-time visibility into our core operations across our lines of business and be better able to service our agents and customers,” said Beth Chancey, VP, property and commercial underwriting, Alfa Insurance. Alfa said it chose Guidwire because its suite of integrated systems could potentially handle all of the insurer’s lines of business.
