Allianz Life Announces New Chief Information Security Officer

Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America, a provider of fixed index annuities, has promoted Dave Stacy to chief information security officer and senior director of IT controls and risk management.

Stacy now leads security strategic planning, and ensures consistency across IT and within the Minneapolis-based company. In addition, he is responsible for protecting the company’s information assets and technology and reports to Allianz Life CIO Jeff Palm.

“Dave’s proven experience will help us maintain our risk management and IT security priorities to guard information that is so important to our business,” Palm said.

Stacy has more than 30 years of experience in IT security and risk management. He previously was a senior IT manager for Allianz Life, where he led teams responsible for identity and access management and network security. His teams administered company firewalls, data loss prevention technologies and coordinated incident management.

Stacy has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa. He also holds Master of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind.
