Allianz Life Insurance Co. of North America has hired Jamie Plesser as director of interactive strategy and execution within the marketing division. Plesser reports Chris Du Bois, to VP of interactive strategy and development.

Plesser is responsible for leading the overall digital strategy for social and emerging media, e-mail and social channels, and website experience. He also collaborates with key stakeholders across the company to improve digital capabilities and the customer web experience.

Prior to joining Allianz Life, Plesser held marketing roles at Best Buy, most recently as digital marketing director. He led the company’s Social Media Council and served as a marketing manager for Best Buy business units. Prior, he held a variety of marketing roles at organizations including Carlson Companies Inc., Planning Group International, now SapientNitro, and Warner Bros. Pictures.
