Alteryx Inc., a data blending and analytics company, has released “Predictive Analytics For Dummies,” a book that explains how data analysts and business users can use predictive analytics to get more insight from their data. Available in print and eBook formats, the book uses the "For Dummies" reference series published by John Wiley & Sons Inc. and is available free at Alteryx.com.
Alteryx said readers of “Predictive Analytics for Dummies” will learn to understand predictive analytics; choose the right tools for analyzing data; maximize the value predictive analytics brings to business; and use predictive analytics to make smarter decisions.
Alteryx added that predictive analytics provide decision makers and analysts with the capability to make more accurate predictions about future events, based on statistical algorithms applied to relevant data. By predicting behaviors, predictive analytics add value to the companies that know how to effectively use the technology. Alteryx has included drag-and-drop R-based predictive tools in its analytics platform and intuitive workflow.
