AMS Users' Group's Buyck Announces Retirement

Dallas — Mike Gray, president of The AMS Users' Group, recently announced that Susie Buyck, longtime executive director of the organization, will be retiring.

"It is very, very hard to say good bye to this organization—it is a part of me," said Susie Buyck. "The AMS Users' Group is successful because of people. I will never forget the wonderful volunteer agents, AMS and particularly my ready-for-anything staff who have helped us accomplish so much. I will cherish all the memories."

The executive board began conducting a nationwide search for the best possible successor at the beginning of the year when Buyck announced her intention to retire.

"It is essential, as a Group, that we keep the momentum going. Susie graciously agreed to stay on until we found an appropriate replacement, and to help us during this time of transition—so we were able to take our time and go through a rigorous selection process," Gray explained. "I'm pleased to announce that Brady Polansky, CPCU, CIC, has accepted the position of AMS Users' Group chief executive officer."

Polansky, who will join the Group in August, brings 19 years of industry experience to the Users' Group. He was most recently the director of agency operations for Westfield Insurance, responsible for industry relations, agency education and automation for this $1.6 billion insurance carrier, serving 1,200 independent agents in 28 states. Polansky also has experience on the agency side of the business, serving as chief technology officer for Dawson Companies in Ohio.
