INDIANAPOLIS--Anthem Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Anthem Inc.'s program designed to help companies maintain an emotionally healthy workforce, has made available a new Web site that provides instant access to various online resources and interactive tools to help employees better manage their work and home lives in an effort to improve or maintain their well-being. "An organization's success is dependent upon a physically and emotionally healthy workforce," said Marty Dubin, Psy.D., vice president, Anthem EAP. "The Anthem EAP Web site is completely confidential and provides streamlined access to a wealth of content and self-service capabilities to help provide guidance when facing life's stressful challenges."
"Anthem EAP's new Web site is modeled after our award-winning and medically certified health information resource, MyHealth@Anthem," said Mary Scanlon, Anthem's vice president of eBusiness. "The design, based on strong Web usability principles, enables employees to obtain the information they need in the simplest and most efficient ways possible." EAP Web site include:
Self and Assisted Child and Elder Care Search and Referral Services. Employees and their family members use these capabilities to access child and elder care search tools. Users may enter search criteria and find appropriate facilities near their home or work locations within seconds.
Employer Resources Suite. This portfolio of services forms a unique online library of information that is specifically geared to assist the employer. Information regarding employment laws and guidelines, debt and credit information, tax information, and banking and financing information is available.
Cool Tools. These fun, interactive tools allow employees to use calculators, take self-care assessments, test their knowledge through quizzes, and watch animated guides regarding fitness and nutrition, illnesses and conditions, lifestyle and wellness, pregnancy and baby care, children's health, finances, and work.
Financial and Legal Tools. A financial- and legal-specific area offers employees a variety of tools to help them research life events. These capabilities include such information as will and estate planning, student loan payoff strategies, and state statute details.
Resource Center. This comprehensive source features self-service capabilities that allow employees to quickly and easily search for providers that offer help regarding addictions, adoption, child care, education, mental health and elder care.
Comprehensive Physical, Emotional and Caring Resource. Employees can access a wealth of information to help keep them and their loved ones physically and emotionally healthy. Articles, features, polls, spotlights and other resources are frequently updated to ensure employees always receive current information regarding physical health, emotional health, parenting and childcare, aging and eldercare, substance abuse and recovery, personal development, and health and fitness.
