Aon, a provider of risk management and human resources solutions, announced the appointment of John G. Bruno as EVP of enterprise innovation and chief information officer.
"John brings to Aon world-class technology skills and a passion for using technology to transform businesses," said Christa Davies, executive vice president and chief financial officer. "John will lead our efforts to deliver the infrastructure and innovative technology solutions necessary for our business units to more effectively serve clients. He also will drive increased collaboration across our businesses to support Aon's growth strategy."
Bruno joins Aon from global tech company NCR Corp., where he most recently served as executive vice president, industry and field operations, and corporate development. Prior to that he was managing director and vice president of IT at Goldman Sachs Group and also has served in senior technology leadership roles at Merrill Lynch, Symbol Technologies, Cisco Systems, Bristol Myers Squibb, and United Parcel Service.
Bruno will begin his new role on September 1 and will be a member of the Executive Committee, reporting to Greg Case, president and chief executive officer. "Delivering industry-leading data and analytics across our Risk Solutions and HR Solutions businesses, along with valuable insight, is a critical part of our strategy to empower results for clients," Case said. "John's extensive experience in providing innovative technology solutions for some of the world's most recognized companies will enhance substantially the value we bring to clients."
